Who are the Westport Hotel Group?
The Westport Hotel Group features three 4 star hotels in Westport, County Mayo.
The Westport Plaza Hotel and the Castlecourt Hotel are located together in the centre of Westport town, close to shopping, bars and entertainment.
The Westport Coast Hotel is Westport’s Only Waterfront Hotel which overlooks the stunning Westport Harbour. Their 3 Westport Hotels offer great value hotel deals, including spa breaks and family breaks.
Reasons for Choosing a Time and Attendance System
When the Westport Hotel Group contacted us several months ago, they expressed an interest in a Time and Attendance system that could meet their Business needs.
As the Hotel Industry is such a dynamic business environment, the group needed a system that offered quick access to data.
They also required accurate calculation of employee entitlements, delivering complex rostering solutions, a system that could be tailored to their specific business needs and above all a system that was user-friendly and accessible.
One of the main requirements of the system for the Hotel group was to accurately report on hours worked per employee. With TMS, hours worked can be reported in Real-Time. Accurate hours worked could be reported on for costing against different units Versus budgeted costs.
Reporting on Absenteeism was also key to having a fully functional Time and Attendance solution.
The benefits of TMS enable the Westport Hotel Group to automatically manage planned and unplanned absences, Real-Time Tracking and allow fast decision making.
The Rostering function within TMS was key to the group’s decision in replacing their existing system. As rostering is such an important part of the day-to-day running of the hotels, it was a welcome addition for accuracy and communication with employees. It’s faster processing speed and calculation accuracy were also key in choosing Advance Systems as the new provider of Time and Attendance Solutions.
What did the Westport Hotel Group want to achieve?
From the beginning, we established some of the pain points that were causing the Hotel Groups concern.
Some of their employee recordings were input manually and this was becoming cumbersome and open to error, as their Time and Attendance needs became more complex. The only option was to automate the process
Having previously installed a Time Management System from another provider, the Westport Hotel Group felt their expectations were not entirely met.
Despite intense joint efforts between the Hotel group and the previous system provider, they were not getting to a place where they were happy with the system and the accuracy of data it was producing.
Advance Systems were able to provide a System that matched the Westport Hotel Group’s requirements and expectations and could improve the accuracy of data, considerably.
