We’d like to take this opportunity to welcome our latest client, the Sammon Group, into the Advance System Community. We are really excited to have this great company on board especially during such exciting and innovative times here at Advance Systems.
It has been fantastic working alongside the Sammon Group over the last while and we now look forward to supporting their time and attendance requirements well into the future.
Who are The Sammon Group?
Established in 1986 as a joinery and an interiors company, the Sammon Group today, is comprised of Building Contracting, Joinery and a Windows Production facility.
All three areas of today’s Business are based at their HQ in Kilcock, Co. Kildare. To facilitate growth in the UK market, the Sammon Group are also located in London.

Reasons for Choosing Time and Attendance Modules Software
When the Sammon Group approached us initially, they communicated their desire to move away from time-consuming manual data input. They understood the need to implement a system that would enable them to report, track and analyse time spent on projects, employee overheads and work breakdowns.
Gathering data manually became a challenge as the group continued to grow. They needed a reliable automated system that could accurately present data for payroll and job costing.
In addition to Time and Attendance software, the Sammon Group also purchased access control turnstiles from Advance Systems. This enables control of personnel access to their sites. The Time and Attendance system integrates with access control, recording and reporting hours worked and movement of Sub Contractors on their work sites.
When presented with TMS modules, it was clear to the Sammon Group that all of their concerns over data accuracy, costing and absenteeism, could be handled by one system.
What did the Sammon Group want to achieve?
From an early stage, we focussed on addressing the pain points that were causing problems for the Sammon Group and the challenges they faced on a day-to-day basis. Our experience Workforce Management experience (from a software perspective) within the Construction Industry enabled us to offer the Sammon Group solutions that are already successful for many of our other clients in the Construction Sector.
Requirements included:
- Automation of payroll.
- Accurate employees worked hours reporting.
- Accurate worked hours reporting for costing against different units.
- Absenteeism reporting.
- Access control via turnstiles on each site.
What Software/Modules were implemented?
- Time Management Software – TMS
- TAS – Manual Clocking.
- Hosted Solution
- TAS Kiosk on touch screens on each Contract/WBS code being worked on to track time allocation in real time.
How will the System Benefit the Sammon Group?
The primary benefit of the Mitrefinch Time and Attendance System for the Sammon Group is to record, monitor and report employee data accurately in real-time, which improves productivity and efficiency, replacing manual data input. Some of the requirements of the system was to report on actual staff or contract hours worked on various sites and to report on absenteeism. With the system now in place, data can be recorded accurately and viewed in real-time, allowing for quicker decision-making, increased productivity and efficiency.
